Shannon Gottesman

Shannon Gottesman joined Bryn Mawr College in 2015 as Director of Individual Giving with nearly fifteen years of development experience. She oversees a dedicated team of fundraisers in The Bryn Mawr Fund, the Family Giving program and the Major Gift team; additionally, Shannon travels across the country, working closely with our alumnae/i, friends, and parents to help them achieve their philanthropic goals for Bryn Mawr.

Shannon fell in love with philanthropy and the impact gifts can have during an internship as an undergraduate. She began her career at a small non-profit in Pittsburgh before moving into higher education philanthropy at Carnegie Mellon University. Shannon then made the move back to Philadelphia to join the University of Pennsylvania during their Making History campaign.

In her spare time, Shannon enjoys running, yoga, acupuncture and travel.  She considers herself a foodie, in part due to her husband, Aaron, who is executive chef at The Oyster House in Philadelphia. Shannon and Aaron welcomed their son Maxwell in March and have a four-legged adopted dog, Daphne.
