Kate Morro joined Bryn Mawr College’s Alumnae/i Relations and Development team four years ago. She came from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked for five years, and Villanova University, where she dedicated nearly seven years. As the Director of Principal Giving and International Relations at Bryn Mawr, Kate focuses on engaging alumnae around the world. She is leading the Bryn Mawr College International Forum: London 2020.

Through the upcoming inaugural forum, Kate wishes to bring Bryn Mawr College to our international alumnae. It is an opportunity for Mawrters abroad to learn from one another and connect through robust conversation.

“We have always been an international school,” Kate says. “Almost from day one we have had students from abroad and we need to focus on all of our alumnae by bringing opportunities from near and far.”

When Kate is not traveling on behalf of Bryn Mawr, she is frequently traveling for fun. Having visited over 40 countries, Kate offers some practical tips for the gift planning newsletter readers:

  1. Pack as lightly as you can to avoid the expense of checking a bag;
  2. Stay relaxed by bringing enough in-flight entertainment and a working set of headphones;
  3. Breeze past security lines by wearing comfortable, easy-to-remove shoes and keeping toiletries accessible.
