COVID-19 News and Updates

Christine ConnellyChris Connelly officially rejoined the Alumnae/i Relations and Development (ARD) team more than eight years ago. Many of you may remember her as part of the Resources team around the time of President McPherson’s retirement and President Nancy Vicker’s arrival. Now, as Director of Campaigns and Communications for the past five years, she oversees all things related to stewardship and donor relations, ARD communications, and Defy Expectation: The Campaign for Bryn Mawr. Chris is also the proud parent of a current Bryn Mawr student and is “thrilled that my daughter wanted to join this unique ‘family’ that I have been privileged to serve for so many years.”

Working at the College (and hearing directly from her daughter) has provided Chris with a front row seat to witness much of the impact of the Campaign. She sees the new spaces, engages with the new programs, and meets new faculty. All have been made possible thanks to the participation and support of the entire Bryn Mawr College community.

Even after reaching the minimum goal of $250 million though, Chris is keeping an eye to the future.  “This Campaign is about so much more than just a number – it is about what our alumnae/i, families, and friends want for the College.  It has been incredibly gratifying to see how everyone has pitched in to sustain the College’s academic mission and nurture its special sense of community.  This strange moment in time has truly reinforced how important both things are to so many of us.”

Collaborating with President Kim Cassidy and Campaign Chair Denise Hurley ’82, P’17, “our goal now is to harness our pride and momentum to do everything we can to support our current and future students and to ensure that the College can continue to innovate and thrive.”
